Here's a tuning cheat sheet for tuning your cyclic gains:
"P" gain: increase if you have a vague drifty feel on cyclic. You want the heli to be crisp, locked in and responsive. Decrease if you observe wobble after quick jabs on the cyclic stick, or when descending into the wind with the disk unloaded. My understanding of this particular gyro is that you should increase P until you see wobbling in the hover, than decrease by 1/3. That is, take the value that caused wobble and multiply by 0.66 for your best fit P gain.
"I" gain: increase if your heli drifts, or does not maintain disk attitude in FF. Decrease if you have a slow wobble in the hover, or instability in FFF, or inconsistent roll/flip rates.
"D" gain: increase if flip/roll stops are sloppy or bouncy. Decrease if you see a fast wobble after roll/flip stops.
The best tests for these latter two gains is to do 3 or more consecutive rolls/flips and observe the stopping behavior.
As always, if it flies fine stock, leave the PID settings alone.
